Urban Life is a christian community project which seeks to love and bless the people of the Normanton area. We are a partnership between local churches including Woodlands Church in Allestree, St Giles Church in Normanton and others.
We want to bring people together of different cultures, build friendships, encourage community cohesion, support people practically, and share the love of Jesus Christ. We do this by organising English classes, friendship groups, shared community meals, and we can offer home visitation/support.
Jesus Christ said the two most important things in life were to: ‘Love the LORD your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, and love your neighbour as yourself’. So this what we seek to do – love God and love others.
